Canandaigua National Bank is offering a $300 bonus when you open a new checking account and complete the following requirements:
- Use promo code 300SWITCH to open a Optimum or e-ssentials checking account
- Enroll in e-statement within the first 30 days.
- Initiate direct deposit with at least one direct deposit in the 2nd and 3rd month the account is open.
- Complete five (5) Point of Sale (POS) Debit Mastercard® debit card transactions in the 2nd and 3rd month the account is open.

This promotional offer is valid only to new Optimum or e-ssentials Checking Accounts opened online with a valid offer code.
To be eligible, the following must occur within the first 90 days following account opening:
First 30 days: e-statement enrollment. Days 31-60: one (1) direct deposit and five (5) POS Debit Mastercard® transactions.
Days 61-90: one (1) direct deposit and five (5) POS Debit Mastercard® transactions. If this eligibility requirement is satisfied, your Optimum or e-ssentials Checking Account will be credited in the amount of $300 within 60 days of meeting the eligibility criteria.
Accountholder assumes tax reporting responsibility.
The reward is not available for Optimum or e-ssentials accounts that result from the conversion of any existing checking account
All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

e-ssentials Checking has the following monthly fees:

$35 if closed in 6 months

Annoying that the requirements need to be met over multiple months but still worth it for a $300 bonus.
