American Express is expanding its dining footprint in a big way.
Amex recently announced that its restaurant reservation platform, Resy, will merge with Tock, a restaurant booking platform, this summer — adding more than 25,000 restaurants, wineries and hospitality venues to the Resy network.
For eligible Amex cardholders with Resy dining credits, that means thousands of additional places to put those statement credits to use.
Here’s what to know.
25,000 more restaurants and wineries are coming to Resy
If you’re not familiar, Tock is a booking platform known for high-end restaurants, prepaid tasting menus and winery experiences. Once the integration is complete, Tock venues will become bookable directly through Resy’s app and website. The stand-alone Tock app and exploretock.com will be sunset.
That includes some of the country’s most acclaimed restaurants, such as:
- Alinea in Chicago
- Atomix in New York City
- Lazy Bear in San Francisco
- Canlis in Seattle
- Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Westchester, New York
It also brings more than 1,200 wineries onto the platform, including:
- Heitz Cellar in St. Helena, California
- Antica Terra in Washington state’s Willamette Valley
- Scribe Winery in Sonoma, California
- Ridge Vineyards in Healdsburg, California

Resy already has a large U.S. footprint, with thousands of bookable restaurants nationwide. The addition of Tock’s fine dining restaurants, ticketed experiences and winery tastings makes the platform far more robust, especially for food-focused travelers.
What this means for your Amex Resy dining credits
This is where it gets interesting for cardholders.
Several American Express cards offer recurring Resy dining credits that trigger when you enroll and pay with your eligible card at participating Resy restaurants.
Because Tock venues will now live under Resy, many of these newly added restaurants and wineries should become eligible once the integration is complete.

That said, there are still a few open questions. Some Resy credits are limited to U.S. restaurants, and Tock is known for prepaid and ticketed experiences — areas where credit eligibility can sometimes vary. American Express has not yet clarified whether every former Tock venue will qualify.
Even with that caveat, the math is simple: More venues on Resy should mean more opportunities to actually use (and maximize) your credits.

Amex cards that offer Resy dining credits
Several American Express cards offer recurring Resy dining credits that can help offset annual fees if you use them strategically. Enrollment is required for all benefits; credits are applied when you pay at U.S. Resy restaurants.
Cardholders can activate the benefit and then use their eligible card to pay at participating U.S. Resy restaurants to receive the credit.
With thousands of new restaurants and wineries entering the Resy ecosystem this summer, it may become easier to fully maximize those credits — especially if you enjoy splurge-worthy dining or wine country trips.
Bottom line
The merger between Resy and Tock is largely a win for American Express cardholders.
By adding 25,000 venues — including Michelin-starred restaurants and more than 1,200 wineries — Amex is strengthening the value proposition of its dining-focused lifestyle perks. Though Amex has not yet released the official list of Tock venues that will be eligible to redeem your Amex Resy credit, if you carry an eligible card, you’ll soon have many more opportunities to turn a reservation into a statement credit.
