Clearmind Medicine (NASDAQ: CMND)
announced on June 5
that it will host a live “Inside MEAI” webinar on June 10 featuring
investigators from Yale and Johns Hopkins reviewing the latest
clinical data from its ongoing Phase I/IIa trial of CMND-100 for
alcohol use disorder. The company
reported on May 12
that 20 participants had been treated in the trial. Shares were
about $3.65, up 25.4%, with volume running roughly 13.9x average.

Editor’s take: In thin biotech names with a fifth
of the float sold short, headlines travel further than the science
alone would justify. The trial progress is real; the size of the

On the other side of the ledger, Nuwellis (NASDAQ: NUWE) announced
the
pricing of a same-day public offering
of 20 million shares or pre-funded warrants with accompanying
warrants at $0.30 per share, targeting about $6 million in gross
proceeds. Shares collapsed to about $0.1595, down 63.0%, on roughly
13.8x average volume.
Editor’s take: A 63% single-session drop on a $6
million raise is what financing stress looks like in micro-cap
medtech. For investors, days like this are a reminder to check cash
runway before the offering lands, not after. The stock now changing
hands below the $0.30 offer price only underlines the stress.
