Many Bilt 1.0 cardholders applied for Bilt 2.0 and were surprised to be denied the card. It was supposed to be a simple transition from 1.0 to 2.0, yet turned into a credit card denial.
It turned out that the bank-backers had different credit criteria and were unable to approve some 1.0 cardholders for the new card.
The Bilt CEO sent out a letter acknowledging the issue and promising to try getting more 1.0 cardholders approved for 2.0.
Today, many 1.0 cardholders who were initially denied are now getting an email with the option to accept the new Bilt card. Apparently, Bilt succeeded in getting the bank to loosen their credit criteria for previous cardholders.
Keep an eye out for the email.
