The Fine Print
- $300 cash bonus available for new Altra members, ages 18+, who open a new Altra membership and a new A+ Platinum or A+ Checking account online on Monday, December 1, 2025.
- To be eligible for this offer, you or any owner on your account must not have an existing Altra checking account, have had one in the last 12 months, or have received an Altra checking bonus in the last 12 months.
- To receive the bonus offer, a $500 minimum qualifying direct deposit is required within 60 days of account opening. A qualifying direct deposit is an electronic deposit of your paycheck made through the ACH network or an electronic deposit of your government benefits (e.g. Social Security) from your employer or the government.
- Other electronic deposits such as person-to-person payments, money transfer apps, deposit account-to-deposit account transfers, online transfers or bank transfers, deposits made by check, or bill pay are not considered a direct deposit and will not qualify for the bonus.
- Your account must maintain an open status with a positive balance for at least 60 days before it is eligible for the bonus payment. The bonus will then be deposited into the new checking account within the next 60 business days, provided the direct deposit requirement has been met and the account has a positive balance on the date the bonus is paid.
- An account closure fee of $100 will be charged if the account is closed within 180 days after opening.

Our Verdict
Seems like a great deal especially since recent data points suggest it’s a soft pull. We once saw the $300 deal before which required branch sign up. Remember this is a one-day Cyber Monday deal on December 1, 2025.
