Alaska Airlines Raising Bag Fees By $5-$50

Alaska Airlines is the latest airline to announce it is increasing bag fees. Price increases as follows:

• First checked bag: $45 (was $40)
• Second checked bag: $55 (was $55)
• Third+ checked bag: $200 (was $150)

They are also removing the $5 discount if you prepaid for bags.  JetBlue was the first to increase fees, followed by United then Delta, Southwest and American Airlines.
