inKind has just sent out an e-mail to users updating the terms and conditions. Changes are as follows:
These changes:
- Better ensure the integrity of our platform, strengthen our rules around account abuse and manipulation to help ensure inKind continues connecting great guests with great restaurants.
- Update our dispute resolution process and add a Mass Action Waiver. If you want to opt out of this process, send a written notice to [email protected] within 30 days of March 14, 2026.
- Update how and when components of inKind Balances can be used. This will simplify the checkout flow to allow you to use either a) inKind Cash, b) inKind Cash Back or c) an offer you may have. Making this change will reduce friction at checkout and also give inKind the opportunity to support more restaurants.
The last item seems the biggest as it seems like it will no longer be possible to stack offers with inKind cash or cashback. Changes go into effect on March 16, 2026. Should still be possible to stack by asking for two separate checks in some cases.
Two days notice seems ridiculous considering some people have large inKind cash balances. Wouldn’t be surprised if see some sort of legal action taken as a result of this. You can e-mail [email protected] asking them to reconsider this change, but I doubt that will do much.
