PNC is now offering a relationship rewards program called ‘TotalRewards‘. Similar to Bank of America’s soon to be nerfed Preferred Rewards program the biggest advantage is an increase to credit card rewards.
The tiers are as follows:
- Silver (requires $25,000-$99,999 average eligible balance): 5% bonus
- Gold (requires $100,000 – $499,999 Average Eligible Balance): 25% bonus
- Platinum ($500,000+ Average Eligible Balance): 35% bonus
Interesting PNC cards to pair this with are:
- PNC Cash Unlimited: Earns 2% cash back on all purchases (2.7% with Platinum)
- PNC Cash Rewards: Earn 4% cashback on gas up to $100,000 (5.4% with Platinum)
Having gold tier or above will waive the annual fees and trade fees as well and you can purchase ETFs and mutual funds. There is a $125 close out fee.
